The fourth Women in Football Be Inspired Conference in partnership with Barclays saw more than 500 delegates attending a combination of keynote speeches and break out sessions at Wembley Stadium on 26 March.
The first plenary session of the day was hosted by Sky Sports News anchor presenter Hayley McQueen and featured Maggie Murphy (Women in Football non-executive director, and sports business and strategy consultant), Matthew Ryder KC (Premier League independent non-executive director) and Kelly Simmons OBE (sports consultant and Women in Football director).
Over the course of 30 minutes which you can watch here, the panel discussed topics as diverse as:
How Women in Football is driving systemic change in the football industry
The potential impact of quotas and legislation to influence wider representation
How ‘good practice’ should become ‘common practice’ to support the growth of the women’s game and its workforce
The importance of male allyship in facilitating the progression of female leaders, and much more...
Over the coming weeks we will upload full videos of the different sessions to our @WomeninFootballOfficial YouTube channel so that all our 11,000+ members can listen back to the inspiring conversations.
More videos from the Be Inspired Conference 2025 will be available in our dedicated playlist.
