Women in Football's new survey launches today, giving WIF members and the wider community a chance to be heard by the game's decision-makers and win great prizes.
The survey provides vital insights into the experiences of women working and volunteering in all roles across football, as well as attitudes and progress towards gender equality in the game.
Results from last year's Women in Football survey were reported widely – including by The Guardian and BBC Sport. The findings included a marked increase in the proportion of women working in football who had experienced discrimination at work – up from 66% in 2020 to 82% in 2023.
But last year 89% of respondents to the survey said they were optimistic about the prospects of women in the football industry – a rise of 27 percentage points from only 62% in 2016.
The 2024 survey is open from now to midnight on Sunday 2 June. Women in Football invites responses from people of any gender working or volunteering in football or aspiring to join the industry. Membership of WIF is not necessary to take part.
People completing the survey can enter a free draw to win a pair of tickets to a Barclays Women's Super League match or a much-coveted place at the 2025 Women in Football Be Inspired Conference in partnership with Barclays.
Women in Football CEO Yvonne Harrison said: "Women are making progress right across the game, but not always as quickly as we'd like – and in some areas our members tell us gender-based discrimination is becoming worse, not better.
"So it's never been more important to get an accurate picture of what working life is like for women in football, in order that we can celebrate progress, highlight the challenges that remain, and target action.
"To help us do that, we'd love as many people as possible to take part in the Women in Football survey."
