CFLI #GETONSIDE BY PROVIDING A SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR THEIR NEXT GEN 2024 SUMMER PROGRAMME

A new #GetOnside pledge promises one future woman in football an amazing inside view of one of the world’s biggest clubs.

The City Football Leadership Institute (CFLI) Next Gen programme returns to Manchester for summer 2024, and they’ve pledged to #GetOnside by offering a fully funded week-long scholarship place to a friend or relative of a Women in Football member.

The Next Gen Manchester programme is a one- or two-week experience which takes students inside the world of City Football Group and Club World Cup champions Manchester City, offering hands-on immersion into the business of sport.

The goal of Next Gen is to provide a transformative educational experience for future sports leaders. The programme connects 14- to 17-year-olds with the global sports industry and gives them a taste of a career in football.

Students will take part in various group activities outside the classroom, including iconic sporting arena tours and football coaching, making their experience truly unforgettable.

Thanks to CFLI’s generous #GetOnside pledge, one lucky next gen WIF will receive a free place on the programme on a course date of their choice, either 21–26 July 2024 or 28 July–2 August 2024.

The Next Gen programme offers residential and non-residential options. The residential offer allows students to experience university living for the first time. Residential participants will be based at the University of Salford’s Peel Park Quarter, benefitting from full board catering and evening activities.

For those living near Manchester, a non-residential option is available with the same packed schedule of immersive learning opportunities and fun activities without the overnight stays and activities.

What to expect
