SKY SPORTS REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO GENDER EQUALITY BY RENEWING CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP OF WOMEN IN FOOTBALL

Sky Sports has underlined its commitment to gender equality as an employer by renewing its Corporate Membership with Women in Football.

The broadcaster initially joined WIF as a corporate member in December 2021. In the two years since, Women in Football has provided gender equality consultancy and support in a range of ways, including workshops for Sky Sports staff.

The Corporate Membership package has also included highly sought-after places for Sky Sports at the Women in Football Be Inspired Conference in partnership with Barclays, and recruitment support through the WIF job vacancies webpage.

The media giant has become a leading light for gender equality in sports broadcasting, with women playing an ever-expanding role at Sky Sports both on screen and behind the scenes. Continuing its Corporate Membership with WIF signifies an ongoing dedication to amplifying the voices of women in football through increased visibility and representation in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

WIF CEO Yvonne Harrison said: “Women in Football and Sky Sports share a vision for a future where gender no longer determines the chances of a successful career in the game we all love.

“We’ve loved working with Sky Sports for the past two years and we’re delighted that they’ve chosen to renew their Corporate Membership with us. Together we’ll continue to dismantle gender bias and create an equal playing field for women across all roles in football.”

Other corporate members of Women in Football include Brentford FC, Brighton & Hove Albion FC and Manchester City FC, as well as the Premier League itself and other organisations such as Sodexo Live! and PepsiCo.
