Women in Football's message of fairness and gender equality in football will reach further than ever before thanks to a new partnership with top content agency Sportsbeat.
An agreement between the two organisations, made as part of WIF’s ongoing #GetOnside campaign, means Sportsbeat will become Women in Football's official content creation and syndication partner for the next 12 months.
The collaboration got off to a flying start this week at the Women in Football Be Inspired Conference in partnership with Barclays, where a team from Sportsbeat ran a takeover of the WIF Instagram and Twitter accounts for day 1 of the event.
WIF's new partner, which covers more women’s sport than any other organisation in the UK, also provided news syndication services for the conference – with stories from the event already reaching the national media.
As part of the Beat Media Group, Sportsbeat is the UK’s leading sports content agency and the principal provider of women’s football coverage to UK media.
The organisation works extensively with the FA, providing all its content from the Barclays Women's Super League, Championship and Women's National League and was a content partner for UEFA Women's EURO 2022, working directly with the organising committee and the FA.
Women in Football CEO Yvonne Harrison said: "We know there's an ever-wider audience out there for the Women in Football message of fairness and gender equality in the world's greatest game. Sportsbeat is perfectly placed to help us connect that message with that audience and extend our reach. The early outcomes already look exciting and the future possibilities even more so."
The WIF/Sportsbeat collaboration makes it a hat-trick of outstanding partnership announcements for Women in Football this week, after the exciting news of an extended lead partnership with Barclays and a new agreement with the Adecco Group.
Sportsbeat’s Managing Director James Parsons said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Women in Football over the next 12 months. We are heavily entrenched in women’s football and see this as a further opportunity to shine a light and amplify the journey of women in football.
"Whether it’s through our content – which we make available to publishers around the UK to utilise for free – we are committed to addressing the imbalance of coverage dedicated to women’s sport in the national and regional titles we supply."
