THE ADECCO GROUP JOINS WOMEN IN FOOTBALL TO EMPOWER FEMALE FOOTBALLERS’ CAREERS

Women in Football has added another prestigious name to its exclusive roster of corporate partners by teaming up with world-leading human resources brand the Adecco Group (TAG) and its Talent Solutions brand LHH.

Under the agreement, this partnership will support WIF’s overall mission to empower women in the sports industry. The partnership will have special focus on supporting female footballers each year to undertake a new leadership and development programme designed jointly with LHH’s Sports Practice.

This programme will also feature expert leadership and development training from Women in Football's experienced instructors, as well as places in bespoke mentoring and group coaching schemes run by WIF.

Players on the programme will also have the opportunity to attend Women in Football's networking events, building contacts in the industry and helping to develop their career plans.

LHH helps people, teams and organisations find and prepare for what’s next. Its end-to-end HR solutions future-proof organisations and careers all over the world. It addresses needs across the entire talent journey, helping organisations build their capabilities and individuals build brighter futures.

The partnership between the Adecco Group and Women in Football builds on the success of their earlier collaboration on the Champion Your Future workshops – a scheme providing career planning support for female footballers in a two-day workshop format.

This workshop formed part of Adecco Group’s and LHH’s pledge to Women in Football’s #GetOnside campaign, which encourages individuals and organisations to take action to level the playing field for women and girls involved in football.

World-class expertise

Women in Football CEO Yvonne Harrison said: “At Women in Football we're passionate about supporting the career development of our members both on and off the pitch, and the Adecco Group's world-class cross-sector expertise will help to take that support to the next level.

“We're delighted to welcome the Adecco Group and LHH to our stable of excellent corporate partners and we can't wait to get working with them on the new programme.”

Mayi Cruz Blanco, Adecco Group’s Global Managing Director – Sports Practice & Partnerships Programmes, said: “Through our Sports Practice and Partnerships Programmes, we are supporting diversity and inclusion across sports, empowering women, disabled people, underserved groups, and athletes to play a role in shaping the future of the industry. Our vision is to unlock potential for all in sports and the work Women in Football does aligns with this perfectly.

“We have been working with Women in Football for the past four years, delivering programmes towards career development for female footballers. This partnership will help us take our collaboration to the next level, focussing on leadership opportunities for footballers and more broadly continuing to support Women in Football’s mission.”

The announcement of the partnership is being presented at the Women in Football Be Inspired Conference in partnership with Barclays on 15-16 March, where the Adecco Group and LHH are supporting a panel on 'breaking the glass ceiling', for women in the football industry both on and off the pitch.
