WE'RE HIRING: KICKSTART TRAINEE ADMIN SUPPORT

Women in Football is inviting young jobseekers to apply for a new trainee position offering valuable experience of team and events administration, marketing and finance.

Supported by the Kickstart scheme, the role of Trainee Administrative Support is on a 25-hours-per-week basis for six months and pays the UK's national minimum wage. It's open to applications from anyone aged 16 to 24 who currently receives Universal Credit.

The successful applicant will provide support to Women in Football’s marketing, events, administration and finance functions as the organisation continues to develop and grow. As WIF is run by a remote-working team, they will need to be comfortable working from home.

The duties of the role include:

  • receiving and responding to emails
  • scheduling and attending meetings as appropriate
  • developing reports, eg. on Women in Football’s events and surveys
  • creating, managing and maintaining documents using WIF’s Google drive and suite of Google applications
  • maintaining and updating online filing systems
  • liaising with colleagues to collate and manage feedback on specific documents, topics and projects
  • supporting with the administrative side of planning internal and external events
  • supporting with the organisation and delivery of events
  • providing admin support to the events, membership, marketing and communications teams, including our digital platforms
  • conducting research into all areas of the business as required
  • supporting with the creation, management and reporting of member and network surveys.

Skills and personal qualities which will be an advantage include good written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google apps, curiosity, creativity, flexibility and attention to detail. However, the WIF team would encourage potential applicants to come forward even if they don't feel they fulfil all these criteria, as training will be provided.

The working pattern for the post is Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm but there is flexibility on this. Candidates should apply via their Jobcentre by Friday 28 January 2022.

Women in Football promotes diversity and inclusion, and encourages and welcomes team members regardless of sex, gender identity, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy, parenthood and disability. As an equal opportunities organisation, WIF makes appointments based solely on merit and business need.
