Emma Hayes and Bethany England of Chelsea show off their Barclays FA WSL Awards

Chelsea had double reason to celebrate after Emma Hayes and Bethany England ensured a winning double at the first-ever Barclays FA Women's Super League Awards.

Emma was voted Manager of the Season at the inaugural ceremony, introduced online by Kelly Smith MBE and Ian Wright MBE due to lockdown restrictions.

She guided the Blues to a brilliant unbeaten domestic campaign of 12 victories and three draws as Chelsea were crowned 2019/20 Women’s Super League champions, based on a points-per-game system.

Striker Bethany has been outstanding this season, scoring in 10 out of 15 league games and in eight consecutive outings since November. She also netted both goals in Chelsea's Continental Tyres League Cup final triumph.

Arsenal's prolific forward Vivianne Miedema claimed the Golden Boot ahead of Bethany, having scored a double hat-trick in a record 11-1 WSL win over Bristol City in December on her way to a season's league total of 16 goals.

Manchester City goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck underlined her continued progress by taking the Barclays Golden Glove for her 10 clean sheets.

Well done to all four winners - and roll on next season!
