London FA offers new opportunities and courses for aspiring coaches - take a look

The London FA run a number of different courses to help aspiring coaches

Fancy getting into coaching but not sure what steps to take? Well the London FA run a number of different courses and offer regular opportunities that could help you on your career pathway.

100 FC is a programme for females (16+) across London, in which you will be supported with your first steps in coaching including funding for coaching courses and coaching placements across a range of organisations. 

The programme aims to address the dearth of female coaches in the Capital and to support the rapidly increasing player participation numbers with a ready, willing and able workforce who have been given the opportunity to flourish in a safe and developmental coaching environment.

The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football provides learners with an introduction to coaching the game and working with players from under 7 to open age.

The course, leading to the achievement of the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification, is the first stepping-stone on the core coaching pathway. It will provide you with an introduction to coaching the game and working with players from under 7 to open age. Click on the link here for further information.

The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football is a nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications, that takes you on a journey through the core components of the England DNA – How We Coach, How We Play, How We Support and The Future Player, helping you to begin shaping or refining your own coaching philosophy.

Made up of 20 guided learning, face-to-face workshops, the course covers a range of topics linked to the England DNA, split into three blocks of learning (Block 1 – How We Coach, Block 2 – How We Support and The Future Player, Block 3 – How We Play). You will also receive up to two support visits between blocks to develop you in your own coaching environment.
