"One year ago, I was a girl dreaming of working in football, now I'm a woman working in football, thanks to The FBA." Cátia Silva – 4th Edition Candidate

The Football Business Academy have been firm supporters of Women in Football's ground-breaking #WhatIf campaign.

Back in May 2019 The FBA offered two places on their prestigious Professional Master in Football Business course at a special discount rate for 2 WiF members as a special #WhatIf pledge.

And the fantastic news is that The FBA have now offered to repeat this incredibly generous pledge for a second time, meaning that 2 of our members will be able to receive 50% off their fees for the March 2020 Edition of this prestigious course.

Combining online learning and modules, delivered through a bespoke learning management system, with on-campus classes, on-the-ground internships at clubs and football organisations, networking events and relevant field trips, the Professional Master in Football Business will thoroughly prepare you for a career in the industry.

The two successful applicants will spend time in clubs such as Olympique Lyonnais, Benfica, Galatasaray, and Girona FC plus get to meet and talk to some incredible professional professors and guest lecturers from around the world. Around 90% of The Football Business Academy’s alumni have found a job in the football industry within three months of graduating…And The FBA are the only ones who teach a course in Women’s Football Development, as well!

Kristian Dobrev, Partnerships Director, The FBA, said about their second #WhatIf pledge: "When you’re serious about developing something you know it takes continued investment, so following the success of our first #WhatIf pledge we felt it was the natural thing to do.

“The quality and potential of Women in Football’s members is remarkable, as evidenced by the previous winners of these scholarships who are very engaged in the 5th Edition of our course. We hope many WiF members will have put education on top of their new year’s resolution list.”

Jane Purdon, CEO, Women in Football, said: “"The fact that The FBA has come back and made a second pledge emphasises the value of working collaboratively and shows they recognise the true value of the #WhatIf campaign.

"This is an incredible offer by them and will again provide more opportunities for women who would like to work in this industry, or those who already do so and are looking to sharpen up their skill set."

Arianna Criscione, Sponsorship Assistant at Paris Saint-Germain, is a great example of how The FBA can help provide a pathway to working in the football industry.

"The FBA is going to give you the knowledge and the network," says Arianna. "I'm really glad that I've joined the program. It gave me the tools I need to open doors for myself."

So how do you take advantage of this incredible pledge? You’ll need to be a WiF member, and have a conversational level of English, as well as hold a Bachelor degree OR have a minimum of three years’ work experience in any field.

You should click through on the link below – which is reserved for WiF members – and submit your CV, a covering letter that sets out why you want to join The FBA, what your ambitions are, and why you deserve the scholarship. You also need to send a copy of your passport, and a copy of your degree certificate (if relevant).
