Grimsby Town Women will face Barton United Ladies at Blundell Park on Sunday 29 September
Grimsby Town have become the latest professional football club to turn vocal support for their women's team into positive action.
Following on from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, who have hosted women's matches at the club's main stadia this season, Grimsby will face Barton United Ladies at Blundell Park this Sunday, September 29 (2pm).
And Grimsby boss Dale Houston has praised the support offered by The Mariners.
Speaking to the official club website, ahead of the Lincolnshire League clash, Dale said: "This is a real treat for the players of both teams.
“I think it is a really great gesture on the part of the club, and once again demonstrates commitment they have made in wanting to see women's football develop in the area.
“We hope to see plenty of supporters from both sides and that everyone will enjoy the occasion."
Entry to the game will be £2 for adults, and children are free.
