Want to take part in a paid workshop highlighting careers in football for women? Then get in touch!

Great opportunity to be involved in a special workshop - but deadline for applications is this Friday.

What's the true legacy of the Women's World Cup? What does the future of football look like with the rapid growth in the women's game? Why is visibility and the history of women in football important? Why do we need more women in roles across all of football?

The Jumpers for Goalposts Festival is going to look at these important questions, where you'll have the opportunity to hear from and meet some of the most amazing women in the sport today across different panels and workshops: Arsenal WFC forward Danielle Carter, Women in Football CEO Jane Purdon and Proud Lilywhites co-chair Chris Paouros.  There is further representation from SEASON zine, Romance FC, This Fan Girl, the National Football Museum, Football Beyond Borders, Slowe, Lewes FC, Hackney Laces, Girlfans, I Think She's Offside and the FSA, along with with several respected authors, journalists and broadcasters.

Football is for all and the event organisers are looking for women working in football to be included in a workshop discussing different career options for women in the industry.

Looking beyond the pitch, what roles are out there – and how do women and girls get to work within football? We want to highlight some of the amazing career options available – from physiotherapists and photographers, to agents and referees.

If you’re working in a football career away from the pitch, and are interested in taking part, you'd be required to attend the festival at Printworks London, SE16 7PJ, on Saturday 3 August at 3pm, for a two-hour workshop (3:30-5:30pm). This will be facilitated by Ro Jackson, founder of sport platform SLOWE, alongside other women working in the industry.

There will be an open discussion lead by Ro on your career path, and any challenges faced, followed by questions and a short series of 1-2-1s, where participants can get more focused feedback.

This is a paid opportunity with a fee of £100. If you’d like to take part, please email your name, job title and a short intro to yourself to ro@slowe.club by 6pm on Friday 26 July.

This workshop is intended for young people, but women of all ages looking for a career change are also most welcome.
