Ready to be part of history in the biggest ever game of football?!

Do you want to play your part in the biggest game of football the world has ever seen?

They have set Guinness World Record for the highest and lowest altitude football matches - now Equal Playing Field plan to complete a remarkable hat-trick by hosting the biggest ever game - during the Women's World Cup in France next year!

In 2016, a record-breaking 2,357 players took part in a football exhibition match at the Estadio Bicentenario Municipal de La Florida in La Florida, Santiago, Chile, over a four day period.

However this World Record attempt is sightly different, as Maggie Murphy from EPF explains.

"We have set World Records for the highest altitude football match at the top of Kilimanjaro and the lowest altitude match, by the Dead Sea in Jordan," she said, "Now we are planning to break an exisiting Guinness World Record for the highest number of participants in a game.

"Essentially, the game will only end when we run out of substitutes. We are aiming to have 3,500 mainly female players play in the match. So far we have players from 62 different countries signed up."

Because the match is scheduled to last five whole days from 27 June - 1 July, there's plenty else to enjoy with a Festival of Football running alongside the main event to ensure that this is an unmissable experience for all who love football. Added bonuses include a conference, a film festival showcasing some of the brilliant women's football films out there, a photo exhibition and a tournament too.
