Suffrage Wall - Women in Football's contribution recognised

This week saw the unveiling of The Suffrage Wall, which has been created by the Women in the Humanities Department at Oxford University to mark the centenary of women's suffrage in 2018.

A hand-picked group of female from around the UK representing a variety of occupations from within the Arts, Business, Education, Politics, Science and Sport were invited to become suffrage champions, making a powerful statement about women's achievements and the continuing need to challenge barriers to gender equality 100 years since women were first enfranchised.

We are delighted to see that two prominent WiFs, Rachel Anderson and Dr Eva Carneiro have been recognised for their ground-breaking contribution to women working in the football industry.

Rachel and Eva join other luminaries such as Baroness Shami Chakrabarti CBE, Dr Sue Black OBE and Professor Dame Elizabeth Nneka Anionwu in being honoured on the Suffrage  Wall.
