Nominations now open for 2018 Rising Star Awards

The Rising Stars Awards focus on the UK’s female talent pipeline below management level.

Have you been inspired by a colleague, family member or friend who is championing gender equality?

Do you know women below Senior Management or Director level, who represent the female talent pipeline and the next generation of future leaders?

Maybe you work for a company that is actively supporting its women on the career ladder above and beyond industry norms?

If the answer is 'Yes' to any of the above, then read what's below here!

Nominations are open for WeAreTheCity's Rising Star awards, which is now in its fourth year.

The Rising Stars Awards focus on the UK’s female talent pipeline below management level and for the first time, they are also calling for nominations for Champions and a Company of the Year.

By highlighting the input of inspirational female talent, WeAreTheCity hope to encourage organisations and business leaders to invest in and recognise women as leaders of tomorrow and additionally, as individual contributors within their respective industries.

The Champion award recognises the achievements of five senior individuals, male or female, who are actively supporting the female pipeline outside of their day job. Nominations for this award are individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to gender, e.g. HeForShe supporters, network leaders, Directors, Managing Directors or C-Suite individuals who are championing women either inside or outside their organisations.

The Company of the Year award recognises the achievements of an organisation that can clearly demonstrate that it is actively supporting its female talent pipeline through its initiatives, training, development programmes, internal employee relations and diversity network groups.

The nominations process is now open for all categories (click here to see the list). A shortlist of 10 women from each industry category will be chosen by an esteemed panel of judges and will be published in May. The shortlist will then be open to a public vote. Judging for the final five winners for each category will take place with independent judges across May and June.

The Top 100 Rising Stars will be announced towards the end of June and all winners, sponsors and supporters will be invited to attend a prestigious evening reception, hosted by The Times & The Sunday Times in London, to celebrate and collect their awards.
