Barking Abbey celebrate being crowned National Under 18s champions last year.
Notts County will host an all-girl football event at their Meadow Lane stadium on Thursday 8 March to determine who is crowned National U18 School and College champions in England.
Over 100 Schools and Colleges from across England entered the English Schools’ FA (ESFA) U18 Schools’ Cup and Colleges’ Cup for Girls this season and the four remaining National Finalists will battle it out to be be named National Champions at County's ground.
The ESFA’s celebration of girls’ football will also coincide with International Women’s Day. As well as the four most successful female squads of 2017-18 taking to the pitch, the match will also be officiated by an all-female line up of Match Officials.
Natasha Wilson and Kulwinder Sidhu have been confirmed as referees on the day and they will be assisted by Chloe Matthews, Chloe Taylor and Cashia Knowles. Having reffed the opening match, Natasha will then have a well deserved break before taking position as an assistant for the second final!
This is the second successive year Notts County have staged an ESFA National Final and entry is free entry for Student spectators.
Darren Alcock, ESFA National Competitions Manager, said: "The atmosphere in the stadium makes all the difference to the players on the pitch and whilst we do all we can to create a fantastic match-day experience for them, we rely on supporters and the public to create a real buzz around the Final.
"Schools from the local area will be invited to attend, with special discounted rates of entry and Notts County season ticket holders can also claim free entry for the match. We hope to welcome along as many spectators as possible to enjoy the event."
All are welcome to attend. Tickets can be purhcased on the day at the stadium, priced at £4 (adult) and free of charge for all students U18.
