We're on the road again - Women in Football head to Sheffield

We're heading to Sheffield - Bramall Lane will host a WiF event on Wednesday 21 March

Following on from our hugely successful first ever Leadership Workshop in Manchester, Women in Football are delighted to confirm our first ever event in Yorkshire.

In our 10th anniversary year it seems appropriate to hold an event in Sheffield, known as 'the home of football" because amongst other things it boasts the world's oldest club Sheffield FC and hosted the world's first floodlit match.

The all important details to put in your diary are as follows;

Date - Wednesday 21 March
Venue - Sheffield United FC, Bramall Lane, Sheffield S2 4SU
Time - 6.30pm for 7pm.

There will be a chance for networking before the panel event, which will be hosted by BBC Look North's Tanya Arnold

The first of our high profile panellists are now confirmed:

Katrien Meire – Chief Executive Sheffield Wednesday
Richard Caborn – Sports Minister (2001-7)
Carla Ward – Sheffield United Ladies’ first team manager
Rachel Ruddach – Sheffield United Ladies’ captain and longest serving player

Light refreshments will be provided, but if you need a hot meal then reasonably priced food is available in the 1885 bar at The Copthorne Hotel next door to the ground.

Book your tickets here for this event.

All WiFs are welcome, especilly those from across Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire.
