Mentoring & Diversity in the sports industry

Women in Football are delighted to have teamed up with production and sport organisations to host an important event on Wednesday 28 February discussing how to increase diversity and provide more mentoring opportunities across the sports industry.

The event will be hosted in West London at IMG Studios (5 Longwalk Road Stockley Park UB11 1FE) in partnership with Premier League Production, Women in Football & BCOMS.

The evening will start at 6pm with networking opportunities and guest speaker, Ebony Amoroso will kick off proceedings at 7pm. This will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Leon Mann, Michelle Moore & Faye Carruthers hosted by Karthi Gnanasegaram. The evening will finish with more networking.

Refreshments available during the evening.

IMG is a leading independent producer and distributor of sports and entertainment media. It is home to Premier League Productions, European Tour Productions, Golfing World, EuroLeague Basketball and IMG Studios where we have a range of talented employees and freelancers who work across hours of live and pre-recorded globally transmitted programming. IMG promotes an inclusive work culture that embraces a diverse workforce where everyone is valued.

Women in Football (WiF) are a network of professional women working in the football industry, now celebrating their 10th anniversary season. Women in Football supports women across the industry, from referees to coaches, finance directors to football agents. WiF are improving women’s representation at all levels of the game by challenging discrimination and lobbying for change in the sport industry, and eliminate negative attitudes towards women working in football.

The Black Collective of Media in Sports (BCOMS) was founded in 2009 by like-minded sports media professionals, concerned at the underrepresentation of black people in their chosen career field, and committed to developing positive change. BCOMS is a non-profit organisation, which is increasing understanding of what diversity is and its value working across the full breadth of the sports media including TV, radio, online and print.
