Coming soon: First Ever Women's Football Yearbook

Every fan of every team knows there’s something that makes their club special, that’s certainly true in women’s football where many clubs are held together by the great work of volunteers and communities.

For the first time, the First Ever Women’s Football Yearbook captures everything that we love about the beautiful game with what promises to be a must-have addition to any book collection.

From the glitz and glamour of the Women’s Super League – which has grown in size, stature, and prestige since its launch in 2011 - to grassroots level, it’s true to say the players, staff, officials and supporters of every club in England have played their part in raising the profile of women’s football in recent years.

Compiled by BBC Sport journalists Chris Slegg and Tom Garry, and with a foreword by WiF board member and leading broadcast journalist Jacqui Oatley, the yearbook is a celebration of all that is great about the game.

It includes:

  • Exclusive interviews with a leading player or manager from every WSL1 club including Arsenal’s Alex Scott, Chelsea’s Gilly Flaherty, Manchester City’s Georgia Stanway, Liverpool’s Jess Clarke and Birmingham’s Jess Carter.
  • Results, scorers and League tables for the 2016 WSL1 and WSL2 seasons as well as the 2017 Spring Series.
  • Results, scorers and League tables for the 2016/17 Women’s Premier League, which makes up the third and fourth tiers of English football.
  • All the results from the 2016/17 Champions League, FA Cup, WPL Cup, WPL Plate and 2016 WSL Continental Cup.
  • Comprehensive Euro 2017 section including every England line-up.
  • Rundown of all the major news from 2016/17.
  • History of Women’s Football.

If you can't wait a few more days until the book is available on general release via Amazon there is no need to despair.

The very first copy of 'The First Ever Women's Football Yearbook' has been signed by Chelsea manager Emma Hayes and is currently on eBay raising money for IFUCARESHARE, a charity which supports those at risk of, or bereaved by, suicide.

Bidding is open now until Monday 2nd October - so get involved now by clicking here.
