A record number attended Women in Football's third Leadership Workshop, delivered by top FIFA and UEFA Consultant Ebru Koksal.

Wednesday's event was hosted by WiF Board Member Liz Ellen, Head of Sport at Mishcon de Reya witih Jane Purdon, Head of Governance at UK Sport joining to share her experience, strength and personal journey with the participants.

There was also the added bonus of an emotive talk from René Carayol MBE, author of the thought-provoking book 'Spike'.

Attendees came from a wide range of organisations in the industry including a number of Premier League and Championship clubs, the Football Foundation, Barclays, broadcasting, media and PR.

In keeping with the two prevous Leadership Workshops, the quality of applicants from our Women in Football network was of the highest order.

An intensive day packed full of presentations, discussions, group work and personal sharing was enjoyed by the group who enthusiastically engaged throughout as Ebru covered topics including Leadership Defined: Great Leaders of Our Time, Decision Making, Negotiating, Leadership Styles, Importance of Networking plus Influencing Others & How to Manage Your Boss.

"It is always such a pleasure to be here," said Ebru, "And I am already very much looking forward to our next Workshop. These days are inspiring, empowering and also fun. I hope everyone went away having enjoyed it as much as I did."

That certainly seemed to be the case with one attendee enthusing: "I have a real grasp now on how I can best prioritise my work, not always say 'Yes' all the time when I'm asked to do more work and have more confidence in what I do. Today has been a brilliant learning experience."
