The first-ever Oxbridge XI team face London XI in a women's showcase match.
A women’s showcase match featuring the first ever Oxbridge XI side to play London XI is one of the highlights when football and music join together at the home of Dulwich Hamlet on Sunday 7 May in a bid to raise money for a unique football education charity.
Football Beyond Borders (FBB) will take over Hamlet's Champion Hill stadium to host the Community Cup and fundraise for its bespoke education programmes, which put football at the centre of digitally-focused, literacy curriculum aimed to help disadvantaged young people.
With MOBO and Brit award winners Rudimental also on board, Sunday promises to be an occasion for all the family to enjoy.
The historic first ever appearance of an Oxbridge XI at 4pm will see female players from Cambridge and Oxford University women’s teams meet a London XI made up of players from Boiler Room Ladies FC & WonderKid Girls FC, celebrating the diversity of women's football.
An FBB All Stars with ex-pros, the Guardian’s Owen Gibson and YouTube sensation Hugh Wizzy are scheduled to lock horns with Copa90 presenters & friends at 6pm in the Cup's headline match.
FBB participants will be showcasing their work alongside plenty more entertainment, activities, prizes and refreshments on offer all day.
Dulwich Hamlet's address is as follows: Champion Hill Stadium, Edgar Kail Way, London SE22 8BD.
