Women in Football are thrilled to announce that their board member Joyce Cook has been appointed to a senior management role at FIFA.
Joyce, who has been on the WiF board for nine years, will take up the post of Chief Officer, Member Associations and Development at FIFA.
It is a hugely important global role within FIFA and Joyce will be an integral part of President Gianni Infantino’s leadership team.
And Women in Football have every confidence that Joyce will bring her usual wisdom, determination and diplomatic skills to the role as she travels the world talking to the 211 FIFA member associations.
Sadly it means that Joyce will have to step down as a Women in Football board member - but her contribution to our development has been immense and our role in supporting, empowering and celebrating women who work in football has been shaped by Joyce's passion for inclusion.
So we send her off to FIFA with our sincere thanks for her devotion to our cause and our love and best wishes for the future.
