Women in Football held its 1st Leadership Course yesterday, delivered by our Board Member and FIFA Consultant Ebru Koksal and hosted by our Board Member Liz Ellen, Head of Sport at Mishcon de Reya. Jane Purdon, Head of Governance at UK Sport and former Director of Governance at the Premier League, also gave a lecture and shared her leadership journey and insights with the participants.
Participants were carefully selected from a pool of applicants from our Women in Football Network to ensure a wide range of experiences and background to add to the in-class learning and networking experience. The participants spent an intensive day full of presentations, discussions and group work covering topics as Leadership, Project Management, Time Management, Decision Making, Negotiating, Influencing Others, Networking and Women in Leadership.
Women in Football is planning to conduct another course in Spring 2017, please follow us for further news.
“Women in Football’s workshop was thoroughly beneficial to attend. Ebru Koksal’s advice on key career areas such as leadership, negotiation and decision making paired with her own experience of working in the industry acted as valuable inspiration to further my own career.”
Katie Baillie, Senior Account Director, Fuse Sport and Entertainment
"I found the day totally inspiring, the group of ladies fascinating and some really great insights. I found the event very well organised and brilliantly delivered. Although I live a distance from London it was well worth taking the time to attend."
