Glasgow Clyde College is running a new course for young women in football. It is aimed at getting more women into sports careers. The course would lead onto other full time sports courses at college and ultimately, for those able, to a potential university place. The course starts in August 2016 and it will be full time (two and a half days per week).

Rationale
This course is aimed at encouraging women into sports and fitness careers via football and aims to:
The course is intended for interested female football performers who may be taking part at school or club level and would like to focus on the technical and fitness elements of the game. They should also have a general interest in sport and fitness.
No formal entry qualifications however they should be playing football at school or club level or be following a regular, demonstrable fitness training regime. A reference will be required from club coach or school staff that can vouch for the level of participation.
