Professional Women in Football Event hosted at the Prospect National Conference

Our first ever event in Bournemouth and we were delighted to be invited by Prospect to share an evening with 'Professional Women in Football' at the International Conference Centre.

It was fascinating to hear from our esteemed panel Amanda Newbery, Chief Executive Salisbury FC, Kelly Somers, the AFC Bournemouth Broadcast and Media Executive and Emma Tonkin, Dorchester Town FC, Physio.  Their willingness to share their experiences made for a lively discussion for our chair Emma Saunders, BBC London and Watford FC reporter.  It is fantastic to have frank, open debates about topics with a sense of humour.  Great questions from the floor and a pleasure to see more men attending our events.
We received a warm welcome from our host Sue Fern, Prospect and it was great to hear from Amanda Franklin, Nautilus too.

"Thank you Wifs for ( yet another ) informative event , in Bournemouth, discussing the benefits of joining a union . I love the diversity of the many different contents covered at the Wif events ." Rachel Anderson, Women in Football member.
