Natalie is a highly experienced sport/leisure practitioner who started her career in sport volunteering at her local athletics club and quickly progressed. Having completed a sport science degree at the University of Sunderland, Natalie moved on to manage an Active Sports Athletics Programme at Salford Council before entering into work with NGBs in which she has now accumulated over 15 years’ experience working on and as part of key development programmes. At Merseyside Sport (CSP), she was the NGB manager leading on relationships management and facilitation with local authorities to implement their whole sports plans. 

Her subsequent role as Football Development Manager at the FA involved leading the implementation of the National Game Strategy with particular focus on the relationship with local authorities. With the FA she successfully secured investment of over £10 million in to new 3G pitches, as well improving relationships between Premier League clubs and local grassroots community facilities to secure investment. A great ‘people person’ and outstanding communicator, her approach is underpinned by in-depth knowledge

In 2014, Natalie then moved onto a role as sports management consultant and in the short time with KKP completed a number of projects including Tameside Council Playing Pitch Strategy, a feasibility study in Leicester for new sport and leisure facilities and writing the England Athletics facilities Strategy.

In 2015 Natalie was asked to become a Director of Curzon Ashton Football Club supporting the Club with her experience taken from working within sport, and subsequently the role as CEO.  A huge challenge but an exciting one, the Club are seeing huge success on the pitch, Natalie’s role will be to transfer that success within the infrastructure at the Club.

When asked what this meant to Natalie she told us the following;

“I am absolutely thrilled to take on the CEO role at Curzon Ashton FC, it’s a huge honour to be asked and having watched the Club for a number of years the commitment and passion from everyone involved is infectious.  I have worked very hard in my career to build a network of people around me that are supportive and make me the person that I am today; focussed, determined and striving to be the best I can, of which I want to translate into the success we have at the Club.  Working in football is a challenge but I have been shown nothing but respect from the Club, and everyone involved.  The Board of Directors are great believers in working hard to get the results that you want and portraying professionalism in everything that we do.  My advice to anyone wanting to get into sport and in particular football is work hard, be heard and strive to be the best that you can be”
