Women in Football and Liverpool FC Event: Behind the Scenes

A great audience attended Women in Football's first regional event in the Red's Lounge at Anfield, Liverpool FC.  The evening was hosted by Liverpool FC and chaired by Women in Football member and BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Caroline Barker.

A fantastic line up of Women (and honorary male) in Football on the panel - Liverpool Ladies and England goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain, Liverpool FC Director of Communications Susan Black, Rachel Brown Finnis former LFC goalkeeper, Colin Bridgford CEO of Manchester County FA and Nicola Palios Vice-Chair of Tranmere Rovers.

The evening kicked off with a panel discussion exploring behind the scenes of football clubs and the audience heard personal stories and experiences.  After the panel discussion there was opportunity to gain insight and advice from recruitment specialists illustrating practical policies that can encourage more women to work in football.

Reds number one Chamberlain said: "It's a real honour to have been invited to this evening's event alongside so many other inspirational and successful women in football.

"This event has really inspired me personally and motivated me to strive to achieve even more in my career."
